Beginning with the colour red, this project found inspiration in the fiery nebulas and burning surfaces of planets of the sky. Using a combination of garments and imagery to explore our celestial world; a place of infinite possibilities, where expression and identity are boundless. Knitting latex like armour, quilting taffeta dresses for a gigantic cape, and smocking wool to make it flow like clouds of dust & gas, we made our version of protective clothes for your journey through space.
