Do you remember spending hours scribbling abstract squiggles and insisting that it was in fact a family portrait?

Or finding the fanciest outfit in the costume box and deciding it was socially acceptable to wear after dress up time was “finished”?*

After deciding that we wanted to explore childhood creativity, we asked our parents for all the artwork they had saved. Going through our childhood creations together, we were inspired by the playful openness to experimentation and noticed that, despite our differing experiences, our work featured similar characteristics & symbols.

We designed a 5 look collection with each look representing a different symbol from our childhood illustrations: moon, hands, flowers, clouds & sun

Furthering our childhood inspiration we used several nostalgic techniques such as latch hooking, embroidery, beading and drawing with washable markers to create an illustrative world for people to explore.
